Magnolia Christmas Card

Hi all

Hope your all okay and getting ready for Christmas?  I'm getting there.  We went to Hull to see my Parents and stay at my brothers house and take my families Christmas presents.  The weather on the way home yesterday was just awful.  The water on the roads and fields was just terrible.  It was a long journey.

We are going to Paul's Auntie Eileen's tomorrow and coming back the day after Boxing Day.

I made this card and coloured it in with my Spectrum Noir pens and used distress inks round the edges.  I hope you like it.

Thanks for looking.  Please leave me a message.

Tilda Christmas Card

Hi all

Sorry for the lack of posting, I don't know were time goes.  I've been busy making cards of course for orders and for my local craft shop which I will add on later and of course our own cards.

I've made quite a few Tilda cards so will also add those on my blog as I've now downloaded them from my camera.

I have coloured it in with my Spectrum Noir pens.  Punched the stamped circle message out and used distress inks over it.  I've also cut out two snowflake dies using my big shot.   Must confess I do love the colours I've used.

Hope your all okay and getting ready for Christmas.

Hope you like the card.  Please leave feel free to leave a comment, I'd love to know what you think.  Thank you for looking.

Paul's Aunties Birthday Card

Hi all

Sorry I've not posted for a while it's been mad here as usual.  We've just found out that Paul's last day working in the RAF after 22 years will be March 22nd 2013.  We've got until August 26th which will be Paul's official last day to find a job and somewhere to live (deep joy).  So Paul's in the process of going on Re-settlement courses and looking for a job, which under the current climate could be hard so keep all your fingers crossed for us.

In the mean time I've been making my Mum's cards for her and trying to make our cards and presents too.  I'll try and take some photos of them and add them to my blog.  Before I'll have to pack up my craft things starting with my Christmas stock.

So here's one of my latest cards I'm sure I've not added to my blog yet and it's one I've made for one of Paul's Aunties.  They have their own horse so hence why I've chosen this image.

Hope everyone is okay and having a good weekend.  Enjoy bonfire night if your doing anything.

I hope all of our American friends are okay and have survived 'Sandy' I couldn't believe what I was watching on the CNN news.  Take care all of you.

The gorgeous image I've used is 1800 Vintage Dress 7.  I've coloured the image in with spectrum noir pens  which I've recently purchased and I have to say I'm really pleased with them.  I've punched two different flowers out of the same backing paper I've used then I've coloured them in with the two darker shades that I've used on the image and shaped the flowers.  I've punched a little leaf out and coloured them in then arranged them on the card.  I've also added a silver gem in the centre of the flowers.

I hope you like the card.  Please visit the other fantastic Design Team blogs on Karen's team to see  their gorgeous creations.

Jewellery set

Hi all

Hope your having a lovely weekend and the weather is behaving itself where you are.  We had awful weather yesterday afternoon the thunder was so loud and I don't think I've ever seen the rain quite as bad as that before.  I'm on my own this weekend well me and the dog.  Paul went back down to London on Monday to help at the Parlympic Games.  He had a whale of a time doing the Olympics, mind you it was long hours and hard work.

Mum and Dad came to see me this week which was lovely to see them as I've not seen them since December just before Xmas.  Don't know were this years gone.  It was great to spend a few days with them as they've not been to our house here since we've lived here this time round.  So I'm back  on my own now until the Games finished.  Lot's of time for crafting.

I'm having acupuncture on Wednesday for my back which I've not had before.  I'm a bit nervous but I keep getting told you can't feel the needles so we'll see if it does my back any good.

Well this is a jewellery set I've made as a 21st Birthday gift.  Thought I'd show some of my jewellery for a change.  Hope you like it.

Hope you all have a good week.

Thanks for visiting and please leave me a comment.

Thank you.

Saturated Canary

Hi all

Hope your all okay and the weather is as nice for you as it is here in Norfolk, it's glorious.  Well it was Paul's birthday last week and as he's gone off to do his Games Maker job at the Olympics I decided to use that as a theme for his card.  I've used  a Saturated Canary Olympic digi stamp.  I just love her images.  I've coloured it in with my Promarkers and made the rosette.  Hope you like it.

I dropped Paul off yesterday at Downham Station, so I'm hope alone well apart from Hannah (dog) for company.  She does make me laugh she's such a character I phone my parents most days to check they are okay as I don't live near them and Mum and I have a natter.  Hannah for some reason has got into the habit of insisting of saying hello to her.  She has 4 woofs for Hello Grandma.  Then Mum asks her if she's been a good girl I hold the phone to her ear and her head goes from side to side then she replies to her as though she's having a right conversation with her and then when I say bye to them she woofs bye too bless her.

So I've got lots of time for crafting over the next couple of weeks.  I've got a few things I want to try and I'll enjoy the Olympics of course.

Hope you all have a good week.

Paintbox Poppets Card

Hi all

Hope your all okay and having a good weekend.  The weather today has been lovely for a change.  It's Paul's Birthday tomorrow so we got invited to his Aunty Eileen's on Saturday for dinner so it was lovely to see them and Gwen and Mick another Aunty of Paul's came to see us after dinner.  Hannah loved all the fuss and running round the yard.  Following Paul who was trying to take a photo of the owl's nesting in the old lean to barn.  Plus they wanted to see him before he goes to the Olympics as a Games Maker.

This is a Paintbox Poppets card that I've made for one of my nephew's who is cricket mad and plays for a local team so I thought this stamped image was appropriate.  I've coloured it in with my promarkers.  The papers etc are from the cd rom.

Have a good week.

We went to Paul's Aunties last night to drop his Nan's birthday card and present off.  Hannah came with us to as she loves going there and having a run round the yard (enjoys all the fuss too).  So it was nice to see Eileen and Alan.  They are good company.  Apart from that we've been watching the football and the tennis today.  I just love the tennis and can't wait for Wimbledon.

This is a card I've made for one of my nieces it's a stamp and has been coloured in with Promarkers.  Hope you like it.

Wedding Anniversary

Hi all

Hope you've all had a lovely weekend.  I know the weather hasn't been the best but the Jubilee celebrations have been amazing.  We really enjoyed them all.  I felt so sorry for the Prince Philip I do hope he will be okay. I thought the Queen looked lovely and felt like she really enjoyed them.  Although I'm sure she must have missed Prince Philip.

It was our 12th Wedding Anniversary on the 3rd of June.  I don't know were time goes.  We started our life here at Marham.  I met Paul on a Scout International at Camjam 1998.  I was staff and he was with his Scout Group from Marham at the time.  We found a little cottage in Denver and rented it as we couldn't move into quarters as we wasn't married at the time.  We then got married moved to Shawbury, Cranwell, Leaming and back to Marham for Paul's last tour of duty.  We leave here and Paul leaves the Air Force next year for another new chapter in our lives.  We have a lovely dog Hannah who is 12.  We lost Chumley last year he was 14 1/2 but we don't have any children.  Just got 13 nephew's and nieces to spoil with another one on the way.

So back to normal today after a nice long weekend.

Hope you all have a good week.

Challenge 110# Get The Bunting Out

Hi

Time goes so quickly, it's team Karen's turn on the Digi Doodle Shop Challenges and our theme is 'Get The Bunting Out'.  It's everywhere here in the UK at the moment with the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations.  I've never used it on my cards before so I decided to go with all the street parties and get together's etc that's going on for my theme..

I've used the 'Vintage Shelf' digi stamp and coloured and cut out the tea pot and cups.  Used blue and white and red and white dots backing paper that I already had in my stash and cut a doily in half.  Used the same red paper on the bottom half of the card.  I've cut the bunting out and glued it on used hemp cord that I have for jewellery and two brads.  I've also stamped the word celebrate on the bottom.  I hope you like it.  So let's see what you can come up with  You don't have to use a Digi Doodle Shop image but you do have to use bunting on your card..  As usual the prize is a $10 gift certificate from Digi Doodle Shop.  Please check out the other Design Team Members fantastic blogs.  Thanks for joining in.

S.W.A.L.K.

Hi

Hope your all okay and the weather is good with you.  We've had a nice couple of days here for a change.  I've been able to leave to back door open for Hannah who is quite happy.  The only thing for me is that there is a field at the back of us and this year he's planted rape seed  (think that's how you spell it) and I have 'hey fever'   so my noise is running like mad at the moment, but it seems a shame not to enjoy the weather.

My card is a Wedding Anniversary for my middle Brother's Wedding Anniversary card.  It's a Crafter's Companion SWALK stamp which I love.  I've coloured it in in Promarkers and the background paper is a mask which I have used a new product I found when we went to our local craft shop which I love Bob and Jean are lovely and Jean is so helpful.  It can be bought from BJ Crafts, Tilney St Lawrence, Norfolk.  It's really unusual but easy to use.  It's called 'Sparkle Medium' from Imagination Crafts this one is Diamond there are lots of other colours but this is lovely it keeps the colour of the card you use.  You rub it over the mask and take the mask away carefully then leave it to dry preferably overnight.  I can really recommend it.

Hope you like the card.
Have a good week.

Dad's Birthday

Hi

Hope everyone's okay and having a nice weekend.  We've actually had no rain since Friday which for us is a bonus. We've not done to much this weekend, Paul had to get his hair cut so we went into Downham Market to do that and do our shopping yesterday.  Then last night we watched the Brtiains Got Talent Final which we really enjoyed.  Today Paul's watched the Grand Prix and I've been card making.  He's now trying to cut the grass.

It was my Dad's birthday on Friday, they live in Hull so I don't get to see them as much as I'd like too, especially as we've only just got a car after our car accident.  He seemed to have a nice day anyway which is a good thing.  I've done this card for him because they used  to live in Scarborough and it reminds me of that..  We all love it up there and near Whitby, but that was before I was born I think they only had my eldest two brothers then.  I could quite happily live near the sea.

Hope you all have a good week.

New Car/Birthday

Hi all

Just had to let you all know I'm so excited that at last we have a car after nearly 5 months without one in the middle of know where It's been a knightmere.  The Gap Insurance Company wouldn't pay out they only wanted to pay £312.00 which was a load of rubbish so our Finance Company ended up taking them to court.  So it finally went off our credit report a couple of weeks ago.  It's driven us mad.  Anyway thanks to Paul's step Dad Andrew he got a new car and we've bought his from him.  It's an 08 Renault Megan.

So it's my birthday today 1st May and Paul's got the day off work so we can actually go out for the day which will be lovely.  I'm so sick of seeing these 4 walls let me tell you.

Hope your all okay and haven't got too much rain.  It's been lovely here in Norfolk today but don't know how long that will last for.

Speak to you soon.

DDS #104 April Showers

Hi all

Well it's Team's Karen's turn for the Challenge this week for Digi Doodle Shop's Best Challenge Blog which is "April Showers".  So I hope you like my card, the images I've used are Country Pond and 1800 Vintage Dress.  I coloured my images in with Promarkers and I did two images of Country Pond.  I added the Vintage Dress ontop of the image then I coloured and cut out the flowers again added 3d foam pads on it then decoupaged them on top.  The backing paper is a paper from my new My Craft Studio cd rom, then added the saying and a gem to the card.  Which is very true at the moment considering we are supposed to be having a drought in our County and all it's done is rain each day.

Please have a look at the other talented Design team members blogs.

Two new cards

Hi all

Hope your all okay. The weather here has been really weird all week. Yesterday we had hale stones and the shower lasted ages. It came down really hard and fast very odd. No rain today but I think we had some in the night. Mum and Dad live in Hull and they've had rain all day today it was driving them mad. Mum's been trying to go for a small walk each day after her hip operation so she couldn't go today.

I've added a couple more cards I've made along with my faithful assistant Hannah who is never to far away from me (bless her) even now she's layed on the lounge floor near me. Paul's on a late shift and is not back while about 11 pm. He's back at work today after doing his M.T. driving stint covering for the lads who are getting tanker driver training in case of the strike.

This weeks challenge is to create "using a new statsh"

which is good for me as it's all new to me. The image I have chosen is Spring Time Bunnies . I thought it was so cute and would do as an Easter card, Birthday card or even an Hello card. Also the backing paper is new as it was a free gift in Simply Homemade Magazine, and the other strip of paper is from a new cd rom I've got. I've also coloured the image in with some new Flexmarkers I got at the weekend.

While I remember Digi Doodle Shop are having a sale so please check out the fab products.

Wednesday 4 April 2012

Hi

I completely forgot to add these to my blog. This was my Mum's Mother's Day card and present. The card was an idea I saw on Create and Craft which was demonstrated by Roy from Dimension Stamps. It's an 8 x 8 card which has the backing paper which is new from Do Crafts it's a Fabric paper and the back is sticky, it's very clever and good. I used some wadding which I stuck on a separate piece of card which I distressed then added the wadding and the fabric paper on top. I then used Dimension Stamps Alphabet Stamp set and coloured them in with pro markers and cut them out. I used Sheena Douglas's new cd rom for both the heart hanger and the card. I used a doillie for behind it and some flowers, hat pins and ribbons for the rest of it. Hope you like them. Mum did.

New Cards

Hi

Hope your all okay and had a good weekend.

Here's a couple of other cards I've done last week. One is a Wedding card using a Tilda image and inspired by Mandy. The other card is a digi stamp for an Auntie on Paul's side of the family. Both are coloured in using Promarkers.

Mum is doing well she is home now thank goodness. She had the operation last Monday and was home by Thursday evening I was amazed. She is still in pain and has to get used to it and walking again. But for an 81 year old I think she's doing fantastic.

Laptop battery has been playing up so we had to order a new one. Don't you just love computers!!!. I have to say thank goodness my Husband knows what he's talking about. I'm okay when it's going okay but when it plays up then forget it. I learnt to type on a normal typewriter not a computer so am self computer taught.

Hope you all have a good week.

Mum's in hospital at the moment after having a hip replacement today. She's okay according to Dad I spoke to him tonight and has come through the op so that's a good sign. Fingers crossed the rest of the week will go okay to.

I'm home alone tomorrow as Paul is going for one of his Paralympic Training days in London and might not get back on the train in time so will stay at his Cousins for the night.

Thanks again Colette you've really cheered me up, sometimes I thought know one was reading my blog as I haven't been getting many comments. I'll have to start adding more photo's.

Have a great week.

New Cards

Hi

Thought I'd better put a couple of cards on my blog what I've been making. The blue one is an Adorables stamped image coloured in with Promarkers. The top pink easel card is a Me To You die cut decoupage image.

Hope your all okay. We're fine still no car looks like our Gap Insurance Company have cheated us out of our money (no news there then). Thank goodness for internet shopping.

Have a good weekend.

Cross Stitch

Hi

Hope your all okay and enjoying the nice weather we had today.

Don't know if anyone can help me I'm after a cross stitch pattern or card kit for a Wedding we are going to in March. I've been through some old magazines etc and typical can't find any Wedding ones. I've had a look round and the ones's I've found so far don't have the names or dates on just Wedding Day and I just want a card kit to do.

Thanks in advance.

Blog Candy

Hi

We're okay bruises etc gone now. We've finally been given a price for our car and are waiting for them to send a cheque to our Finance Company to write the car off. At least then hopefully we can sort out more finance for another car. Thank goodness for internet shopping. Went out looking at cars today with my Father-in-Law. It was freezing. Mind you it was the first time I'd been out since the accident.

Having a change of colour and style on my blog, though I'd have a change.

Please link on the picture on the side bar to join in with the Joanna Sheen Challenge Blog Candy. This is a newish blog what Joanna and her team have set up.

Hope your all okay.

Poor Car

This is a photo of our car after our accident. We've found out this week it's a right off poor old car. At least we are both okay that is the main thing. Paul had a sprained neck and I've got a few bruises on me where the seat belt was and on my left arm as that was my side the car rolled down the ditch on so I must have given it a good bang when we stopped.

Thank goodness we've got gap insurance out on it when we took the car on as we had a year left to pay on it. Hopefully it will all be okay so fingers crossed.

Everyone's been really kind and thoughtful at the moment, the internet is a god send for food shopping too.

So not loads of crafting done at the moment. It's taken us a week to sort a few things out and for us to stop feeling really still and not sleeping very well as each time we rolled over it hurt.

Will hopefully start crafting away again this next week as Paul's on nights in the Guard Room this next week for 7 night he started last night.

Thanks again to everyone for the kind words.

Hugs
