Happy New Year

Hi all

Hope everyone's well.

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year, hope you all have a good one.  I hope everyone has had a great Christmas and a Good New Year's Day.  We had a lovely time at Paul's Aunties over Christmas and got to meet our latest nephew who was only 7 weeks old.  He was so cute they've called him Alfie.  So that makes 14 Nephew's and Niece's for us between our families.  We don' usually do much on New Years Eve.  We watched Alan Car's show which was so funny.  Then we watched Jules Holland's Hootenanny which we  both love as we like his music and of course switched over at midnight to watch Big Ben and the fireworks which we thought was amazing.  So I hope you all have a fantastic 2013 and I will try and get some more blogging done and join in some Challenges this year.

Our main thing this year is Paul leaves the RAF after 22 years so that's a new job for him and a new home as we've always lived in RAF quarters since we've been married, so it's a new start for us this year.

Take care

Magnolia Christmas Card

Hi all

Hope your all okay and getting ready for Christmas?  I'm getting there.  We went to Hull to see my Parents and stay at my brothers house and take my families Christmas presents.  The weather on the way home yesterday was just awful.  The water on the roads and fields was just terrible.  It was a long journey.

We are going to Paul's Auntie Eileen's tomorrow and coming back the day after Boxing Day.

I made this card and coloured it in with my Spectrum Noir pens and used distress inks round the edges.  I hope you like it.

Thanks for looking.  Please leave me a message.

Tilda Christmas Card

Hi all

Sorry for the lack of posting, I don't know were time goes.  I've been busy making cards of course for orders and for my local craft shop which I will add on later and of course our own cards.

I've made quite a few Tilda cards so will also add those on my blog as I've now downloaded them from my camera.

I have coloured it in with my Spectrum Noir pens.  Punched the stamped circle message out and used distress inks over it.  I've also cut out two snowflake dies using my big shot.   Must confess I do love the colours I've used.

Hope your all okay and getting ready for Christmas.

Hope you like the card.  Please leave feel free to leave a comment, I'd love to know what you think.  Thank you for looking.

Paul's Aunties Birthday Card

Hi all

Sorry I've not posted for a while it's been mad here as usual.  We've just found out that Paul's last day working in the RAF after 22 years will be March 22nd 2013.  We've got until August 26th which will be Paul's official last day to find a job and somewhere to live (deep joy).  So Paul's in the process of going on Re-settlement courses and looking for a job, which under the current climate could be hard so keep all your fingers crossed for us.

In the mean time I've been making my Mum's cards for her and trying to make our cards and presents too.  I'll try and take some photos of them and add them to my blog.  Before I'll have to pack up my craft things starting with my Christmas stock.

So here's one of my latest cards I'm sure I've not added to my blog yet and it's one I've made for one of Paul's Aunties.  They have their own horse so hence why I've chosen this image.

Hope everyone is okay and having a good weekend.  Enjoy bonfire night if your doing anything.

I hope all of our American friends are okay and have survived 'Sandy' I couldn't believe what I was watching on the CNN news.  Take care all of you.

I've coloured it in with my Promarkers and it is a Tilda backing paper too.

Challenge #124 Handmade Flowers

Hi all

Edit:-  There was a problem with orders being completed, due to the influx of traffic and large orders.  We believe we have now fixed the issues, and apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.  If, however, you have any problems with your orders, please contact Judy on the contact email address on the shop immediately and she will make sure you get all of your order.   Thank you so much for your support. (from Judy).

Well it's Team Karen's 2nd to last Challenge at Digi Doodle Shop Challenges.  It's Challenge #124 Handmamde Flowers.  As normal there is a $10 gift certificate to spend at the Digi Doodle Shop.  So here's my DT card.

The gorgeous image I've used is 1800 Vintage Dress 7.  I've coloured the image in with spectrum noir pens  which I've recently purchased and I have to say I'm really pleased with them.  I've punched two different flowers out of the same backing paper I've used then I've coloured them in with the two darker shades that I've used on the image and shaped the flowers.  I've punched a little leaf out and coloured them in then arranged them on the card.  I've also added a silver gem in the centre of the flowers.

I hope you like the card.  Please visit the other fantastic Design Team blogs on Karen's team to see  their gorgeous creations.

So come and join in with this Challenge and let us see what 'Handmade Flowers' you create.  Thanks for looking.
