Snowman & Snowdog Card

Hi all

Sorry I've not been been around for a while.  I've been a bit mad since we've moved.  Paul's been trying to get a job and has applied for 100 jobs and had 5 interviews.  So after a lot of looking around we've become Independent Distributors for Forever Living Products.  It's an Aloe Vera base company and we just love the products.

I've have still been busy with my cards though.  Here's one I've done following a Tutorial on the Crafter's Companion Blog by Linda Hill.

Hope your all doing okay.

Finally Moved

Hi

Sorry I've not blogged for a little while it's been a bit mad recently.  We've finally moved house at last.  It's been hard as we've had to move ourselves this time.  It's Paul's last move from the RAF and believe it or not they leave you to it and don't pay for it or help with the move so we've had to pack and do it all ourselves.  We didn't realise how much stuff we actually had until we've moved.  I have to say though I'm not going to miss the RAF or the quarters etc.  The house we've found is lovely it's in Lincolnshire and it's 3 bedroomed detached and I actually have claimed the study downstairs as my craft room (yeah).  It's so quite it's bliss in our last house it was semi detached and let's just say not the best neighbours in the World that we had to share the walls with they were noisy and screamed a lot shouted at the kids who screamed and cryed a lot and played music.  To wake up here we're woken up if we here it to the sound of someones Cockeral which is bliss we've both slept better since we've moved.  All we need now is for Paul to get a job so if anyone knows of anything please let me know.

Hopefully I should be back blogging asap as soon as I've started unpacking the craft room.

Hope your all okay.

Here's a 5x6 inch scalloped edged card I've made recently using a Do Craft stamp.  I love it it's so cute.  I've coloured it in with my Spectrum Noir Pens  Backing papers from a 6x6 inch papermania pad and the roses and sentiment is from one of my Crafters Companion CD Roms.

Christening Invitation

Hi all

Happy Father's Day to everyone.  Hope you've all had a good day.  I couldn't see my Dad today but sent him his card and present through the post and spoke to him.  I saw him the weekend before last at one of my Nephew's Wedding's and we spent the weekend with some of my family wish was lovely.

As promised here's the Christening Invitation that I made.  I made 35 of the in total and they seemed to have gone down well which is good.

I've used a star embossing folder from Crafters Companion. A Forever Friends image from one of the CD Roms which I love.  I've also used a backing paper from one of Crafters Companion CD Roms and changed the colours with it on the colouriser system they have on their cd's.  As Claire wanted stars and blue and white on the Invitations.

Hope you like it.  Please leave me a comment.

Have a good week.

father's day card

Hi all

Yes I'm still here. Life's a bit mad at the moment. Paul is still trying to get a job which is hard going. He's away this week on a course and it seems 22 years service in the RAF doesn't seem to count for anything these days.  I managed to get my Christening Invites done and when I get chance I'll add them to my blog.  This is a bit of a test run as I have a new Tablet so took the photo on that.  Will do more later.

Happy Easter

Hi

Happy Easter, hope your all okay and having a good weekend.  We've had a mad time as usual since I last posted.  We had an awful time as one Friday morning I woke up to hear a shower noise running and couldn't   understand it.  Woke Paul up who woke up when he heard it, went downstairs to find water coming through the ceiling in the kitchen and lounge, we couldn't find the stop cock and had to phone MHS who said they'd send someone out in 3 hours.  Paul went and knocked on neighbours doors who of course weren't in and then found someone who told us where the stop cock was.  Mean while water still running through the ceiling     I found buckets and placed the round the house.  Paul turned the stop cock off and we ran all the water through the system which took about 40 minutes and eventually an engineer turned up.  On top of all that I had a doctors appointment which is always a knight mare.  I came home to find the engineer gone and our carpets wet through.  My craft table and some papers cards etc ruined.  We had to move it all into the kitchen and I was doing Mum's mother's day card and christening invitations   We had a further two people come round and one of them said oh the carpets are ruined won't be good enough for march out.  I could have thumbed him.  He put a finger through ceiling.  The heating gave way another two times and had further engineers come round but the left us to it with the carpets and ceilings I was not a happy bunny.

Granddad Johnson has been taken back to hospital last Wednesday and sounds like the same thing as last time so let's hope they sort it out this time.  We're going to see him tomorrow night.

Paul's finished work now and is trying to find work he keeps writing for jobs and doesn't even get a reply.  It seems 22 years in the RAF doesn't count for anything these days.  Let's hope he finds something soon.

I've finally finished the christening invitations thank goodness but I'm happy with them and hopefully will get them to Clair in the next few days.

These are my Easter cards I've made for my family this year.  I hope you like them.

This one is using Hero Art stamps and my Spectrun Noir Pens.

This one is using a stamp I've had for a while and my Spectrum Noir Pens and backing papers from a Crafters Companion cd rom.

This one is using the same stamp and coloured in with my Spectrum pens and using an embossing folder too.

Can't remember the Company where I got this stamp from but again it's coloured in with my Spectrum pens and using a backing paper from my cd rom.

This one is using the same cross stamp and coloured with my Spectrum pens using a X-Cut die and backing paper from my cd roms.

Again this is one of my stamps and coloured in with my Spectrum pens which  I love and using a backing paper from my cd roms.

Have a good rest of a weekend.

Paul's Valentines Card

Hi all

I don't know if anyone is reading my blog at the moment as I don't seem do get many comments.  I know I'm not on any design team or anything at the minute but I'd love you to leave me a comment if you do stop by.  Anyway enough of that.

This is the card I made for Paul (Hubby) for Valentines Day.  I used distress inks for the background, then I've used a versa mark ink pad and a black embossing powder on the vine and coloured the leaves in with a black spectrum noir pen.  I've also done the same embossing powder on the flowers cut them out and coloured them in using spectrum noir pens.  I also used the same black powder for the message.  I love getting messy this is an idea I saw Sheena Douglas doing on Create & Craft for the background technique when she was on with the stamps.  Which by the way I forgot to say the stamps are Sheena's.  Hope you like it.

Hope your all okay.  Granddad Johnson is finally home from Hospital yesterday.  We had a hectic week last week visiting him.  Fingers crossed he'll be okay.  Paul still hasn't heard from anyone of the jobs he's applied for which is a bit of a worry.  I keep hoping he'll hear something soon.  Not long to go now until he finishes work.  At least we can stay in the house until August.

Have a good week everyone.

Brother's Birthday Card

Hi all

Sorry I've been a bad blogger recently it's been a bit mad.  The weather has been awful hasn't it?  I do wish spring would hurry up and come.  Paul came home with the flu and kindly gave it to me so that's knocked me  out for six.  I've been going to a Back Class at the Pain Clinic at Kings Lynn Hospital on a Monday for six weeks which has been interesting.  I've also had a course of Acupuncture which hasn't helped and at the moment I've having a course of Hydrotherapy which is lovely while it's in the water but I've struggled afterwards.  Grandad Johnson got taken into Kings Lynn Hospital last Friday too bless him and they don't know what's causing it yet so we're going to see him again tomorrow afternoon as I've got Hydro and Paul can go and see him while I'm doing that then I'll meet them on the ward.

Paul's only got to the 18th of March left at work now and that's come round quick.  He keeps applying for jobs and not hearing anything which is a bit worrying.

I've been trying to keep myself busy.  I've knitted Dad a pair of fingerless gloves which he loved and know am knitting a pair for Paul's Aunty Eileen.  I'm also doing Alfie's Christening Invitations so it's all go.

This is a bit different for me but I loved doing it.  It's a birthday card for one of my Brothers using the new scene it dies from Do Crafts.  Hope you like it.  Please leave a message.

Hope your all well and having a good week.

Happy New Year

Hi all

Hope everyone's well.

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year, hope you all have a good one.  I hope everyone has had a great Christmas and a Good New Year's Day.  We had a lovely time at Paul's Aunties over Christmas and got to meet our latest nephew who was only 7 weeks old.  He was so cute they've called him Alfie.  So that makes 14 Nephew's and Niece's for us between our families.  We don' usually do much on New Years Eve.  We watched Alan Car's show which was so funny.  Then we watched Jules Holland's Hootenanny which we  both love as we like his music and of course switched over at midnight to watch Big Ben and the fireworks which we thought was amazing.  So I hope you all have a fantastic 2013 and I will try and get some more blogging done and join in some Challenges this year.

Our main thing this year is Paul leaves the RAF after 22 years so that's a new job for him and a new home as we've always lived in RAF quarters since we've been married, so it's a new start for us this year.

Take care
Hugs
