Paul's Valentines Card

Hi all

I don't know if anyone is reading my blog at the moment as I don't seem do get many comments.  I know I'm not on any design team or anything at the minute but I'd love you to leave me a comment if you do stop by.  Anyway enough of that.

This is the card I made for Paul (Hubby) for Valentines Day.  I used distress inks for the background, then I've used a versa mark ink pad and a black embossing powder on the vine and coloured the leaves in with a black spectrum noir pen.  I've also done the same embossing powder on the flowers cut them out and coloured them in using spectrum noir pens.  I also used the same black powder for the message.  I love getting messy this is an idea I saw Sheena Douglas doing on Create & Craft for the background technique when she was on with the stamps.  Which by the way I forgot to say the stamps are Sheena's.  Hope you like it.

Hope your all okay.  Granddad Johnson is finally home from Hospital yesterday.  We had a hectic week last week visiting him.  Fingers crossed he'll be okay.  Paul still hasn't heard from anyone of the jobs he's applied for which is a bit of a worry.  I keep hoping he'll hear something soon.  Not long to go now until he finishes work.  At least we can stay in the house until August.

Have a good week everyone.
Hugs

  1. Hi Jenny! This really is fabulous! LOVE the colours you used and it's a beautiful card.

I missed your previous post - love the scene you did.

Why not make a card using snippets/scraps - we all tend to hoard leftovers. Then come and join in the snippets playground - no theme, just to use up some leftovers, and the girls are really friendly. They'll almost certainly visit you to say Hi!

    Hugs, Di xx

  2. Hi Jenny,

Lovely card and the colours are really beautiful. I know what you mean about comments. I don't always get comments on my makes, but I know from looking at my stats that people are visiting. Hope Paul finds a new job soon, fingers crossed.

    Love
